We envision an empowered community, where everyone is engaged, thriving, flourishing and holistically transformed

Our Mission

To break the cycle of poverty in all its forms by empowering the urban poor to transform their lives, and their communities.

Our Inspiration

We draw our motivation from Jesus Christ’s call to Love and Serve the poor. We exist to faithfully express the life and mission of Jesus Christ; bringing hope, healing and transformation in the local community. We trust that God has called us to; proclaim Christ, transform lives, reach and build communities spiritually, physically, socially and economically. We are dedicated to ending the cycle of poverty and dependency within poor communities by helping people acquire and apply knowledge, skills, and mindsets necessary to be self-reliant.

Our guiding Principles

Service
We follow Jesus who came in humility ‘not to be served but to serve’, the path to true leadership. We empower the poor by placing control in their hands and not overpowering them with outside resources or expertise.
Creativity and Innovation
We value the creativity and innovation that our partners, our colleagues, our volunteers and our donors bring in helping to find positive, creative and innovative solutions to hard and complex situations.
Partnerships
We are a small piece of the bigger picture of what God is doing in building His Kingdom around the world and in the communities, we serve. We are therefore delighted to work in partnership with others who share our purpose and sense of mission.
Transparency & Accountability
We hold ourselves accountable to the people we serve as well as to the rest of our stakeholder. Accountability and transparency are central to all of our actions and use of resources.
Stewarship
The resources at our disposal are not our own. We demand of ourselves high standards of professional competence and accept the need to be accountable through appropriate structures for achieving these standards. We share our experience and knowledge with others where it can assist them
Sustainability
We believe that envisioned, equipped and impassioned local churches are best placed to lead their communities out of extreme poverty.
